Griffin Theatre Company is Australia’s leading new writing theatre. Resident at the historic SBW Stables Theatre in Kings Cross, Griffin develops and stages the best Australian stories, in a vital cultural hub, for the widest possible audience.
For over 30 years they’ve been dedicated to bringing audiences the highest standards of theatrical craft and the most unforgettable Australian plays. They also have a passion for developing Australian talent, with many of our nation’s most celebrated artists starting their professional careers here.
The pop-up is being used as a rehearsal space for the production of Between Two Waves by Ian Meadows and directed by Sam Strong. A politically charged relationship drama set against a climate change backdrop, it is an urgent and searching new play about the most pressing issue of our times. Between Two Waves asks an anxious, warming world: how do we find happiness in the face of an uncertain future?
As part of the process they will be hosting an ‘In the Rehearsal Room’ event inviting people to come and see the play in its early stages and give them the opportunity to discuss the plays progress with cast and creatives.
