Design a Chair competition is open to the general public, young creatives and emerging designers from all fields. Evie Group wants you to experience what it is like to be a product designer. Design a Chair is an ideation competition where we encourage you to sketch an iconic chair or stool that best reflects you. Why a chair? Chairs have long been the statement pieces of designers that become designer classics such as Eames, Mies Van de Roe, Marc Newson and Arne Jacobsen.
Designs will be displayed in store and 10 entries collected over September to October will be shortlisted for a ‘Dragons Den’ style public critique to pick the overall winner in November. Share your designs on our social media pages and go into the draw for people’s choice award. The winning design and people’s choice will be modeled by Evie Group and with special thanks to Savage Design, their concept will be 3D printed as a scaled model to keep. So what are you waiting for, get into store and start sketching!
