Fancy helping change the way kids create and think about the world?
Object HQ is running a crowd funding campaign for a brilliant creative education initiative called ‘Design Emergency’.
They are trying to raise $20K in 40 days to help build a digital strategy for this truly innovative program that aims to create a generation of design thinkers and expert problem solvers. It takes designers into schools, providing students and teachers with a first hand understanding of what design is and how it relates to everything that we do. It provides the skills to create their own individual ways of living and working.
Object is a non-profit organisation and sadly, there are few funding agencies that support education initiatives in the cultural sector. So crowdfunding is our only hope to transform the success of our pilot program into digital program with national reach.
There are two ways that you could help out which would be HUGELY helpful.
1. Take a few minutes to watch the video HERE, and if after watching you think it a worthwhile program, pledge your support. If 1,000 people pledge just $20 each, we’re home and hosed – so every little bit counts!
2. Or even just help spread the word! The more people that hear about this, the more likely we are to succeed. A tweet or FB referral goes a long way to making this a success.
Any pledges over $2 are tax deductible if you chose not to receive one of the rewards offered on the Pozible site.
As an extra treat, Object is giving away a pop prize everyday to someone who makes a pledge. I have the inside word that as things have slowed a little this week, you’d be in with a good shot to take home the goods this week ;) .The Object ‘pop prize’ is different to the awards on the Pozible website.
